Affirmations will help you be more positive and confident. Since I started doing them, I feel so much better about myself. It really changed my mindset. In this post I’ll share my favorite affirmations that I think will help you too!
What are affirmations?
Affirmations are (positive) sentences you repeat to yourself in order to influence your (sub)conscious mind. They will consciously make you feel more motivated and energetic and subconsciously influence your actions, choices and habits because of the mental images that accompany them.
Shoo, negativity, shoo!
The mind is a powerful thing. We may repeatedly tell ourselves that we aren’t good enough, that something is not going to happen or that we should just give up, because it’s all no good. That kind of negativity will actually happen because you think it and then start to believe it. Don’t let negative thinking hold you back in life!
No positive things can come from a negative mind.
Turn it around
Fortunately, we can do something about those negative thoughts. By carefully choosing the affirmations you need the most, you can train your mind to think more positively. Therefore, you will (sub)consciously change your behavior and the choices you make for the better.
At first, doing my affirmations felt kind of unnatural. It feels a bit weird to say these seemingly overly confident things about yourself. However, this feeling went away quickly and it started to feel more comfortable saying them out loud because I felt they were becoming more and more close to the truth. I actually became the person that I was describing in these positive sentences.
The Miracle Morning
For me, doing affirmations really made a difference. I started doing affirmations after I read the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod for the first time. This book is packed with great tips on how to create a better, more positive life for yourself. I’ve been doing this morning routine on and off for almost two years now. Affirmations are a part of the routine’s Life S.A.V.E.R.S. (Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing). Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a copy of this wonderful book!
I had never heard of affirmations before, but they immediately piqued my interest. What if changing my mind to be more positive was really as easy as repeating a few sentences everyday?
Well, it actually kinda was that easy! Of course, the rest of the routine also helped a great deal with starting my days in a better way. However, I feel that the affirmations are the best part of it. Even if you’re not a morning person and have no intention of getting up a minute before you really have to, doing affirmations is still great. You can do them anywhere, anytime.
I honestly can’t believe how much my life changed over the past 2-3 years. I went from being in the worst place you can imagine to being a genuinely happy person. At this point, I can’t even imagine ever feeling that miserable again. I am not afraid of ever relapsing anymore. I feel in control and that’s a great feeling!
So, what are those affirmations that changed my life for the better? Well, dear friend, I’ll tell you. I hope they will help you be more confident, more positive and more successful too! I believe they will.

Ready, set, go
Pick the ones that you think could help in your life and/or make your own and start repeating them every day. I recommend you do them in the morning, because you will start your day with so much positivity! You can repeat them in your head, but I prefer saying them out loud. If you do them daily you will feel the difference soon!
