I was kindly gifted the beautiful 2020 Purpuz planner in exchange for an honest review. This doesn’t change my opinion on the product in any way. All opinions posted on My Passion Projects are my own.
It’s almost the end of 2019. We all know what that means: time to set new goals for the new year! 2019 Has been an amazing year for me. I achieved many of my big life goals this year: I started my own business, became a Life Purpose coach, graduated, got married to the love of my life and we bought our first house. It’s been a total rollercoaster. One I’m really, really grateful for. It hasn’t all been smooth sailing though. But what year ever is, right?
Even though this year was definitely one of the best of my life, I also am a little lost now that I got to check so many big goals off my list. I’ve lost direction a little bit. Long story short: it’s time to set some new life goals so 2020 is going to be just as good – or maybe even better? – as 2019. Luckily, I have the Purpuz planner to help me with that!
The Purpuz Planner
The Purpuz planner is a brainchild of Clen Verkleij, who came up with the idea for this planner in 2016 after he burned out. The planner and its method now help a lot of people accomplish their goals and stay balanced in life. The planner quickly became a bestseller and I totally understand why. I fell in love with the minimalistic design and its beautiful mission. The planner comes in two beautiful colors: hard coal (34,99 EUR) and pink (39,99 EUR). You can get one yourself through Bol.com or you can download it as a PDF for free (that’s right!) on the Purpuz website. Note: the planner is only available in Dutch.
The Purpuz Path To Achieving Goals & Staying Balanced
The Purpuz planner provides you with eight tools:
- the Purpuz map (to help visualize your dreams)
- the Purpuz matrix (to organize your dreams)
- the Purpuz plan (to break down your goals into actionable steps)
- the Purpuz path (to prioritize your goals and determine the time it will take to achieve them)
- monthly planning (for structure and a clear overview)
- weekly planning (to determine your daily to-do’s
- daily reflection (to take the time to reflect on what went right and how you can grow)
- questions to yourself (to consider the past month, the present and the future)
Using this method will help you get very clear on the things you want to accomplish this year and how you’re going to get there, while still paying attention to your (mental) health. Last year, I used the Purpuz planner as well and it has helped me be more mindful of how I’m feeling and if the goals I set in the beginning of the year are still things I truly want. Furthermore, it helps me remind myself that goals you set for yourself aren’t set in stone and that it’s okay to change direction if that makes you feel better. In the end, achieving goals means very little when the result doesn’t make you happy.
My Goals For 2020
In the new year, we’re going to move into our new house. After over a year of looking for our new home, we finally found the perfect place. We get to move in in January and one of my goals for 2020 is to truly make it our home, by decorating it as we want it. I also want to start to be more organized in all areas of my life (and work) and set up a daily routine to help me do that. After we move, I’d also love to pick up yoga again as it has always helped me clear my head and listen to my body. That’s something I think we could all use (more of), but for some reason I stopped doing it… Time to do something about that! Another goal I have is to teach myself how to code. I’ve already started with this goal and am currently on day eight of my programming streak (currently learning the basics of JavaScript). I really enjoy learning this new skill and hope to continue with it in 2020.
And of course, one of my 2020 goals is to write regularly on My Passion Projects again! This is the first post in a (long) while and while setting my goals and figuring out what I really want to do, I realized that I missed being able to write about anything and share blog posts with you. So, My Passion Projects is coming back in 2020 with more personal development and lifestyle content. I’m really looking forward to it and hope to see you again in the new year.
As you can see, I have plenty of things to focus on in 2020. I’m really looking forward to it. I’d love to know your goals for next year as well. Please share them with me in the comments!
Lastly, I’d like to say thank you for reading my blog. I appreciate that out of the hundreds of thousand of blogs you could be reading right now, you chose mine. That’s awesome.
With much love,
Maud
